The N.G.D safety shutdown valve is a piston type,
hydrostatically unbalanced, designed to close down on numerous of safety
conditions. The actuation of the valve is by the line-fluid pressure and
the valve opening and closing is controlled by a single 3/2 solenoid valve
or double 2/2 solenoid valves.

The N.G.D safety shutdown valve automatically closes
down when a flow, pressure, level or any other condition activates the
valve's relay switch and energises/de-energises its solenoid valves. The
safety shutdown valve can be also operated pneumatically or hydraulically.
