The N.G.D dam-feed control valve is a piston type,
hydrostatically unbalanced fail-to-open valve. The actuation of the valve
is by the line-fluid pressure and the opening and closing is controlled by
a set of two float valves. The valve does not require electrical power or
instruments for its operation.

The N.G.D dam-feed control valve is used to control
water reservoir level. The line-fluid actuated valve can be used as
dam-feed control valve when a level switch controls its piloting solenoid
valve.
