The
N.G.D bypass control valve is a piston type, hydrostatically balanced, and
designed to automatically discharge water from a pump station main, when
the station flow rate decreases. The actuation of the valve is
pneumatically or hydraulically and the valve is piloted by a signal from a
flow transmitter at the pump station suction.

The N.G.D bypass control valve is installed between the
pump station main and the station's reservoir. The valve automatically
discharges water from a pump station main when the station flow rate
decreases and reduces safely the station high pressure at a predetermined
flow rate.
